We are actively looking for an Accountant/Bookkeeper with a few years of construction experience to join our growing team!
This is a unique role as it allows for applying bookkeeping and accounts skills with a variety of clients, becoming their trusted advisor.

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Obtaining source data from clients
- Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger
- Reconcile cash accounts to bank statements
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations as assigned
- Conduct and support month end and year end close process and procedures
- Maintain and update accounting records and files
- Preparing payroll and payroll tax returns, 1099's as well as sales and other local taxes.
- Recording property and equipment; and calculating depreciation and amortization using computer software
- Preparing deposits and paying invoices for clients
- Preparing other schedules, account analyses, worksheets, and projects as requested by professional accounting team members
- Preparing compilations and financial statements
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- At 3 to 5 years' work experience in construction accounting
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or similar technical field.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite and QuickBooks.
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting, including work in progress schedules, job costing and completed contract and percentage completed revenue recognition rules
- Knowledge of clerical bookkeeping principles and practices, including processing payrolls and reports, general ledger reconciliations, financial statements, and the keeping of financial accounts and records.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and understands basic accounting principles.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and needs in a positive manner.
