Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Site Safety Coordinator to oversee and promote safety standards at our worksites. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and lead initiatives that foster a safe working environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Provide safety training and education to employees to promote awareness and compliance with safety protocols.
- Perform risk assessments to evaluate and mitigate potential safety risks on-site.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and ensure proper reporting and documentation.
- Maintain safety management systems and ensure all safety documentation is up to date.
- Coordinate emergency response planning and drills to prepare staff for potential emergencies.
- Handle hazardous materials according to regulatory guidelines and ensure staff is trained in proper handling procedures.
- Prepare regulatory reports and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and ensure the site is compliant with all relevant safety laws.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Environmental Health, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety coordination role, preferably in construction or industrial settings.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) are a plus.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment and safety management systems.
- Experience conducting safety audits and training sessions.
- Proficient in incident investigation techniques and safety documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
