Headquartered just outside of Houston, we specialize in our innovative chemical manufacturing process used within the gas and petrochemical space. We have been in business for over 100 years and are continuing to be one of the leaders in our space!

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Site Safety Coordinator to oversee and promote safety standards at our worksites. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and lead initiatives that foster a safe working environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide safety training and education to employees to promote awareness and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Perform risk assessments to evaluate and mitigate potential safety risks on-site.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and ensure proper reporting and documentation.
  • Maintain safety management systems and ensure all safety documentation is up to date.
  • Coordinate emergency response planning and drills to prepare staff for potential emergencies.
  • Handle hazardous materials according to regulatory guidelines and ensure staff is trained in proper handling procedures.
  • Prepare regulatory reports and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and ensure the site is compliant with all relevant safety laws.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Environmental Health, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety coordination role, preferably in construction or industrial settings.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
  • Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment and safety management systems.
  • Experience conducting safety audits and training sessions.
  • Proficient in incident investigation techniques and safety documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
