Job Title: Director of Land Development
Job Location: Houston, TX 
Salary: $150k- $180k 
Requirements: 10+ years of Residential Land Development experience in the Houston Area, experience in the establishment of MUDs and Leadership. 


Position Overview
The Senior Land Development Director will lead and oversee all aspects of land development projects in Houston, focusing on residential subdivisions. This role is crucial in driving project success from conceptual design through to completion, ensuring alignment with company standards and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of residential land development projects from inception to completion.
  • Manage and mentor a team of land development professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project designs meet regulatory requirements and client expectations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local government agencies, community stakeholders, and clients to facilitate project approvals.
  • Prepare and present project proposals, budgets, and timelines to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to identify potential development opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations throughout the development process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10 + years of experience in land development, with a focus on residential projects.
  • Strong knowledge of local land use regulations and environmental laws, particularly in Houston.
  • Familiarity with Municipal Utility Districts (MUD) and subdivision processes.
