Product Line Manager

Position Overview
The Product Line Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from conception to launch and beyond. This role focuses on driving product strategy, ensuring quality and regulatory compliance, and maximizing profitability through effective market analysis and cross-functional collaboration. Prior industry experience in a R&D or manufacturing adjacent industry is highly preferred(Chemical/Plastic/Adhesives/Films/Printers). Experience with new product development process methodology and Stage Gate process is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute product line strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends and customer needs.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from ideation to discontinuation.
  • Ensure product quality and compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to optimize production processes.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive product development and launches.
  • Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality.
  • Utilize customer insights to inform product enhancements and new offerings.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables using project management methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain management.
  • Experience with product lifecycle management and quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in market analysis techniques and tools.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and SAP.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across various functional areas.
  • Knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes is a plus.
