Controller
Position Overview
The Controller will oversee all financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role is pivotal in providing strategic financial guidance and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the accounting team and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP.
- Maintain and improve the ERP system for better financial management and reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate billing processes and accounts receivable management.
- Monitor inventory costs and implement strategies for cost control.
- Manage accounts payable processes and ensure timely payments to vendors.
- Develop and maintain the general ledger to ensure accurate financial records.
- Lead capital project accounting and reporting for investment analysis.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax filings and reporting.
- Review and approve journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems and financial reporting software.
- Expertise in preparing and analyzing financial statements.
- Demonstrated experience in billing and accounts receivable management.
- Solid understanding of inventory costing and management practices.
- Familiarity with tax accounting and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
