Our 50-person company has had great success for the 6 years of being around already holding a top 10 spot in revenue generated around the entire Kansas City area with numbers that are only projected to continue to grow!

We specialize in a very diverse portfolio of projects including Commercial, K-12, Municipal, Healthcare, etc. We are currently looking for a Project Manager with at least 5 years of experience in the Construction industry preferably working on similar projects. The project manager will be responsible for the planning and execution of construction projects and for the general contracting of commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record of successful delivery of construction projects.

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Accountant to manage and oversee all financial aspects of our construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with accounting standards, while providing insights that support project management and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage monthly financial statements and reports for construction projects.
• Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes related to construction activities.
• Assist in the preparation of project budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers to provide financial analysis and insights.
• Utilize Sage 300 and Procore for financial tracking and reporting.
• Manage and reconcile all construction-related financial transactions.
• Provide support for audits and assist with the preparation of financial documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in Sage 300 and Procore software.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• CMA certification is a plus.
• Experience with cloud services and cloud-based accounting solutions.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
