The ideal candidate for this role as a Trucking/Delivery Route Administrator, or also known as a Transportation Analyst, will join our Seattle based team and take on the responsibility for the analysis/evaluation of our numerous local/regional trucking/delivery routes and will use software, systems to assist with the optimization of delivery schedules and route pathways for a fleet of delivery vehicles.
The desired individual will use their expertise in transportation and route optimization software to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery operations, and coming into the role, will have experience in trucking and transportation, as well as strong analytical skills to identify areas for improvement in route planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate trucking routes to identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements for route optimization.
- Utilize software such as Greenmile, Geotab, and Samsara to track fleet movements and monitor delivery schedules.
- Collaborate with the trucking team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery schedules and vehicle usage.
- Monitor fuel consumption and suggest ways to reduce costs.
- Communicate with drivers and dispatchers to ensure smooth execution of delivery operations.
- Provide regular reports and analysis on trucking and delivery performance.
- Identify and resolve any issues or delays in delivery.
Qualifications:
- Open to those with a Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, but not necessarily required.
- Previous experience in trucking, transportation, and route optimization.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis software.
- Proficiency in using Greenmile, Geotab, Samsara, and other route optimization software.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with fleet tracking and route administration.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
