Tax Manager
Position Overview:The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all tax-related activities for our company. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, as well as maximizing tax savings and minimizing tax liabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and tax law, with specific expertise in CPA, S-Corp, and C-Corp tax structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize corporate tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Prepare and review tax returns, including federal and state income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax
- Conduct tax research and stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations
- Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities
- Build and maintain relationships with external tax advisors and other relevant parties
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as finance and legal, to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA certification
- 5+ years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in a managerial role
- Extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations, specifically related to S-Corp and C-Corp structures
- Experience with tax software and proficiency in MS Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
