Sr. Estimator - Residential Construction

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Estimator for our Residential Construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, managing budgets, and ensuring that projects are completed within financial constraints while adhering to all relevant regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and present detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects.
Analyze blueprints and specifications to determine project requirements.
Utilize estimating software and tools such as Bluebeam, ProEst, and Sage Estimating for accurate cost analysis.
Collaborate with project managers to track project budgets and expenditures.
Conduct quantity take-offs and assess material and labor costs.
Negotiate contracts and pricing with subcontractors and suppliers.
Ensure compliance with city regulations and industry standards during the estimating process.
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior estimators and team members.
Stay updated on industry pricing and trends to inform estimates and proposals.
Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams to clarify project details and expectations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating residential construction projects.
Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, ProEst, and Sage Estimating.
Strong understanding of construction practices including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
Knowledge of city regulations and compliance standards.
Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and track project costs.
Leadership experience in guiding project teams or junior estimators.
