Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team, specializing in the development of software that interfaces with hardware inside of a manufacturing facility (we manufacture our own products).
The ideal candidate will design and implement innovative software solutions that integrate with various laboratory and industrial equipment, ensuring reliability and performance in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain software for embedded devices using C# and C++.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications.
Implement and test software solutions for laboratory and industrial automation equipment.
Utilize design patterns and software architecture principles to create scalable and maintainable software systems.
Perform debugging and troubleshooting of software and hardware interactions.
Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing to ensure software quality.
Manage version control with GIT, GitLab, and GitHub, ensuring code integrity and collaboration.
Work with communications busses and protocols such as USB, UART, RS232, RS422, RS485, SPI, I2C, Modbus RTU, and TCP/IP.
Create documentation for software design, implementation, and testing processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in software development for embedded devices.
Strong programming skills in C#, C++, and Python.
Familiarity with laboratory equipment and electronic instrumentation.
Experience with software design, architecture, and design patterns.
Knowledge of industrial automation and communication protocols.
Proficient in debugging and using tools like oscilloscopes and multimeters.
Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment practices.
Strong knowledge of version control systems including GIT, GitLab, and SVN.
Background in Chemistry, Spectroscopy, Electrochemistry, or related fields preferred.
