We are seeking a Mid-Level Real Estate Associate to join our real-estate practice in our Pittsburgh, PA office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law, with a focus on commercial real estate transactions. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of complex real estate matters and to collaborate with a team of talented attorneys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on all aspects of real estate law including acquisition, development, leasing, financing, and disposition
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents related to real estate transactions
- Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and other legal proceedings
- Review and analyze real estate contracts and agreements
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in real estate transactions
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in laws and regulations
- Assist with the management of junior attorneys and legal staff as needed
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree
- Active license to practice in PA
- 3+ years of experience in real estate law, preferably with a focus on commercial real estate
- Strong knowledge of real estate laws and regulations
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle a high volume of complex real estate matters independently and with the team
- Experience with loan closings and real estate financing is preferred
- Experience with historic tax credits and other tax credit structures
