Quality Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to oversee and improve our quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastics and injection molding, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This position plays a key role in enhancing product quality and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement quality control processes for plastic injection molding.
Conduct statistical process control (SPC) to monitor and enhance production quality.
Perform Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimize manufacturing processes.
Conduct Gauge R&R studies to ensure measurement system effectiveness.
Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles in product design and inspection.
Ensure compliance with ISO and FDA regulatory standards related to product quality.
Review and analyze engineering drawings for quality assurance purposes.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in the plastics or manufacturing industry is a plus.
Strong knowledge of injection molding processes and quality assurance methodologies.
Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and techniques such as SPC and DOE.
Experience with Gauge R&R and GD&T standards.
Understanding of ISO and FDA regulatory requirements.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
