Position Overview:
Founded in 1988, we are a premier heavy civil general contractor and construction management firm based in Oregon. We are recognized as one of the region's most advanced contractors in earth-moving, road-building, and underground utilities. We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer with a background in Heavy Civil projects to join our team. Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, consistently using PPE, tools, and equipment.
Maintain high standards of quality across all crews, utilizing systematic internal checks and quality control processes.
Work under the direct supervision of a Project Manager on multiple civil projects.
Keep daily job records accurate and organized, including daily reports, quantity tracking, testing and inspections, and material certifications.
Manage document control tasks, including handling submittals, RFIs, correspondence, quality documents, and other project-related documentation.
Coordinate daily with field superintendents and foremen to learn the work, identify issues, and maintain a daily job photo record.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering Construction Management or equivalent experience.
Preferred experience includes working on heavy civil contracts for public and private projects, covering various job types like site work, highways, utilities, and airports. Relevant summer internships are also considered.
