Who you are:
Bachelors in Engineering with preference being in mechanical, materials, chemical or similar
5+ years of experience
Experience in a senior/lead role and project management
Experience successfully managing engineering and technical resources.
Previous experience working in a regulated production environment such as ISO or GMP preferred.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to devise multiple solutions as options.
Able to technical troubleshoot quickly, safely, and effectively.
Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Knowledge of statistical methods for data analysis and reporting required.
Minitab software experience a plus
SolidWorks experience preferred but not required.
Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to relate to all levels of employees.
Must be a positive voice while effectively communicating with technical and non-technical employees.
PMP certification preferred but not required.
What you will be doing:
Manages technical project portfolio, project tracking, prioritization of resources and reporting updates to leadership team.
Manages operating budgets for the Engineering department and all CAPEX projects by reviewing and approving related purchases in the ERP system.
Coordinates priorities of and provides direction and mentorship to members of the Engineering Department. Responsible for team members performance reviews.
Mentors Engineers by proofreading their technical documents and guiding them through writing Project concepts and scopes, reviewing data, and reviewing technical summaries.
Champions the execution of engineering projects, conducts the work, and delegates as needed.
Participates as a team member on projects and provides technical expertise, as required.
Provides direction to troubleshooting process problems.
Evaluates and selects manufacturing equipment to best suit the organization's application.
Assist with reviewing and managing supplier agreements and technical specifications.
Manage technical service inquiries, system overhauls, and NDAs.
Assists in the hiring, training and, if necessary, termination of technical and professional employees, including Engineering interns or co-ops.
Follows and carries out all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
