Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Malpractice Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both law and medicine, with a specific focus on medical malpractice cases. This individual will be responsible for representing clients who have been victims of medical negligence and ensuring they receive proper compensation for their injuries.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough investigations into potential medical malpractice cases
Review and analyze medical records, expert reports, and other relevant evidence
Collaborate with medical experts to assess the strength of a case
Prepare and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs
Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
Provide legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the legal process
Stay updated on changes in medical malpractice laws and regulations

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in the state
Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical malpractice law
Strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven track record of successfully handling medical malpractice cases
Ability to work independently and manage a high caseload
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Experience using legal research databases and software
Possess a strong sense of empathy and compassion for clients
