Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in litigation and a strong understanding of the legal process. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently and work collaboratively with attorneys and other legal professionals. This position will be on-site in Albuquerque, NM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, including discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial activities.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support case strategies.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Organize and manage case files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and easily accessible.
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and other court-related activities.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court officials as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of work.
Must-Have Skills:
- Proven experience in litigation.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Trial experience.
- Familiarity with e-discovery processes and tools.
- Experience with case management software.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
- Paralegal certification preferred.
