Position: Lead Software Engineer - Hybrid ONLY 1 day onsite

Salary: Up to $155K base plus bonus and great benefits!

Overview:

The Lead Software Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of software systems for our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in .NET, C#, SQL Server with API/Rest, CI/CD, JavaScript and React skills. The Lead Software Engineer will oversee a small team while leading by example as a team member too!

This is a hands-on software development role and we are looking for individuals with leadership skills who are currently and have always been doing hands-on development.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of complex software systems and projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Lead a small team of developers both offshore and onsite.
Hands-on development through the full software lifecycle, design, coding, testing and support.
Implement best practices for software development, including code reviews, continuous integration, and deployment.
Maintain knowledge of new technology, standards, practices and tools.
Potential oversight of onshore and offshore engineers.
Some travel is required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 8+ years of experience in software development.
Expert experience, 5+ years in .NET, C# full-stack development and architecture.
SQL Server experience especially for large components and large amounts of data.
Experience with React, JavaScript, GraphQL, HTTP and SOAP are a huge plus.
Experience with API development and REST.
Experience with Azure cloud a huge plus.
Experience with Microservices.
Experience with performance tuning, code optimization and CI/CD.
Experience in the Insurance, Finance, or Accounting industries is a plus.
Must have leadership experience, heading up projects from end to end and mentoring others.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong understanding of software development best practices and methodologies.

This is a hybrid position with one day a week onsite at our White Plains, NY location and rest of the week remote.

We offer a base of $145K to $155K plus bonus and great benefits!
