Position Overview:
The Land Acquisition Manager will play a crucial role in our real estate development projects by identifying and acquiring suitable land for our company's growth. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with landowners, negotiating purchase agreements, and managing the entire acquisition process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of land acquisition and real estate development, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
-Identify potential land acquisition opportunities through market research, networking, and other avenues
-Develop and maintain relationships with landowners, brokers, and other key stakeholders
-Negotiate and secure purchase agreements for land parcels at competitive prices
-Conduct due diligence on potential land parcels, including zoning, entitlements, and other legal and environmental factors
-Collaborate with the development team to create and execute plans for the use of acquired land
-Work with local government agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals for land development
-Manage the closing process for land acquisitions, including coordinating with attorneys, title companies, and other parties
-Stay informed on market trends and changes in zoning and land use regulations
-Provide regular updates and reports to upper management on the progress of land acquisitions
-Oversee and manage junior team members as needed
Qualifications:
-3 or more years of experience in land acquisition and real estate development for residential use
-Strong understanding of land use regulations and zoning requirements
-Excellent negotiation and communication skills
-Proven ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
