Position Overview:

The General Liability Attorney will be responsible for handling a variety of legal matters related to general liability, personal injury, property damage, premises liability, professional liability, and insurance defense. The ideal candidate will have strong legal knowledge and experience in these practice areas and be able to effectively manage a high volume caseload.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide legal representation to clients in general liability cases, including personal injury, property damage, premises liability, professional liability, and insurance defense matters
Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and provide sound legal advice to clients
Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings
Attend court hearings, mediations, depositions, and other legal proceedings on behalf of clients
Negotiate settlements and handle alternative dispute resolution
Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff to ensure efficient and effective case management
Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation
Keep up-to-date with changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents related to general liability and insurance defense
Provide excellent client service and maintain strong relationships with clients

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in the state
Minimum of 2+ years of experience practicing in general liability, personal injury, property damage, premises liability, professional liability, and insurance defense
Strong understanding of state and federal laws, regulations, and legal precedents related to general liability and insurance defense
Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills
Ability to manage a high volume caseload and prioritize tasks effectively
Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
Professional demeanor and strong client service skills
