Position Overview: The Estimator will play a crucial role in the planning and budgeting process for construction projects. They will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of materials, labor, and equipment needed for each project. The ideal candidate will have experience in estimating for construction projects, with a strong understanding of HCESS standards. They should also have experience with takeoffs, bidding, and working on multifamily, senior living, and office space projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Review project plans and specifications to create accurate cost estimates
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates
Perform takeoffs and research pricing for materials and equipment
Create detailed bid proposals for potential projects
Prepare and submit cost estimates to clients
Continuously monitor and track project costs, providing regular updates to project teams
Identify and communicate any potential cost-saving opportunities
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating for construction projects
Strong understanding of HCESS standards and regulations
Proficiency in performing takeoffs and utilizing takeoff software
Experience in bidding and creating detailed proposals
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
Experience working on multifamily, senior living, and office space projects
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software programs
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
