Our Estimators are our leaders on projects and collaborates with clients and suppliers to prepare and complete bid/submittals for electrical construction projects. - Develop accurate and timely electrical construction estimates on which we base competitive bids and proposals
- Analyze and interpret detailed drawings and specifications.
- Determine and price value-engineered alternatives to plans and specifications.
- Perform budget pricing from schematic drawings and narrative.
- Lead the functioning of the Estimating Department; the education and development of junior personnel; on-going development and maintenance of computerized estimating programs and databases; congenial relations with clients and vendors.
- Work on change-orders and cost-to-complete estimates of on-going projects.
- Help create and communicate company standards for estimating electrical design/build and plans and specs work.
- Review estimates created by others for accuracy and completeness
- Perform job handoffs from estimating to operations through clearly demonstrating detailed scopes of work, specifications and job specific conditions
- 2+ years of electrical estimating experience
- Strong understanding of estimating software
- Strong team mentality
- Experience in MS Office Suite, Accubid, LiveCount, McCormick, and ConEst preferred
- Project list or bid list preferred not required
- 100-170k (Depending on project experience)
