What You Need for this Position:
- Some college or technical training in engineering or related discipline
- 3+ years of experience as a Designer
- Ability to obtain certification in energy, lighting, sustainability, commissioning, signal, grounding, etc.
- Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience
Responsibilities:
- Designing and revising detailed electrical parts, assemblies, and installation drawings
- Working closely with electrical engineers and other team members to create designs and schematics
- Proficient in using CAD and Revit software to develop complete and accurate electronic working plans, elevations, details, charts, and material lists
- Performing design calculations and modifications based on electrical engineering principles
- Ensuring design and technical standards are maintained in all electrical drawings
- Maintaining and updating electronic databases and files
- Performing checks and revisions as necessary to ensure quality and accuracy of project documentation
- Collaborating with manufacturing, construction, and installation personnel to ensure designs are feasible and can be implemented
- Keeping up to date with the latest CAD software developments and industry trends
