Clients nationwide turn to us for underground residential utility design, overhead electric design, fiber optic routing design, construction management and engineering software solutions. Through state-of-the-art technology, we execute projects for utilities that would otherwise remain in-house. We have even created our own software module (ADDS) that's unmatched in its flexibility and accuracy. The result is world-class designs - in less time - that save money and increase productivity. ADDS is offered to electrical utility companies and is proven to save up to $250 per meter in new URD developments. And there's another advantage. Our highly skilled and experienced team possesses a unique knowledge about the utility industry and software engineering.

We are seeking a strong Electrical Distribution Designer to join our team.

What you need:

knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), national engineering standards, utility constructions standards, and best industry engineering practices
Associates Degree in Engineering or similar discipline
Experience with the design of electrical distribution systems
Proficiency with software such as Autocad

What you will be doing:

Perform detailed design of overhead and/or underground electric distribution systems
This work includes the preparation of field notes, drawings, specifications, and design estimates
Maintains production and quality of projects, including field data, photographs, engineering analysis, reports, various departmental reports and databases
Preparation and modification of electrical and roadway drawings, specifications, calculations, charts
Perform various field technical services for the operation, inspection, and maintenance of electrical distribution systems including system inventories and audits, joint use management and permitting, pad-mount inspections, ground-line pole inspections, metering and apparatus services, and lighting audits
Perform field data collection utilizing laptop computer, tablet device, GPS, and other electronic devices to collect data for input into database software as necessary
