Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Privacy Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing legal expertise in data privacy laws, regulations, and compliance, ensuring that our organization adheres to all applicable data protection standards. This role involves advising on information governance, risk management strategies, and protecting customer data.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Office of the General Counsel, Security and Risk Management Department, and Audit and Advisory Department to ensure the firm's handling of personal data meets international privacy standards.
Work closely with the procurement function and security review team to review, draft, and negotiate vendor contracts and other commercial agreements involving the transfer of personal data.
Advise clients on best practices for data governance and participate in risk management efforts related to privacy compliance.
Monitor and assess developments in data privacy regulations across multiple jurisdictions and apply this knowledge to ensure compiance within the firm.
Draft and review privacy policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
Conduct risk assessments and recommend strategies for data protection and governance.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop training programs on data privacy and security best practices.
Assist in responding to data breaches and liaise with regulatory authorities as necessary.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active bar membership in relevant jurisdiction.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in data privacy law or related field.
Strong understanding of global data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
