Construction Superintendent (Commercial)

As our company continues to grow and expand both in size and number of active projects we are looking to bring on a Construction Superintendent with a background in multiple Commercial building types (Retail/Hospitality, Medical, Education, Manufacturing, etc.) to join our rapidly growing organization.

In this position you will be the person overseeing the entire job site at every phase of construction.  You will also be SELF PERFORMING various construction processes including framing, concrete, insulation, etc.

What You Will Be Doing

• Manage daily activity on job sites while also taking a HANDS ON role in the construction process at each stage (self perform on concrete, framing, insulation, etc.)
• Oversee subcontractor and vendor scopes of work to ensure they are properly documented
• Order materials and ensure that deliveries are meeting deadlines to keep construction process moving smoothly
• Collaborate with Project Managers and company leadership to ensure each project is meeting milestones
• Coordinate job site inspections with various agencies and perform job site walks regularly
• Ensure project close outs are handled completely and sent off to Owner

What You Need for this Position

The Construction Superintendent must have 5+ years experience acting in a Superintendent role and be familiar with:

• Proven history of completing projects in various Commercial property types (Retail/Hospitality, Medical, Education, Manufacturing, etc.)
• Experience self-performing on various construction methods (concrete, framing, insulation, MEP, etc.) - you will be required to do this work yourself not just supervising crews/subcontractors to do it
• Solid grasp of Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Word, Excel, etc.)
• Preparing Change Order documents for Subcontractors and Owners
• Experience with handling vendor and subcontractor relationships
• Willing to travel in the Missouri area up to 50% of the time
