We are growing and looking to add an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our team in our Durham, NC office. You will be responsible for handling a variety of complex business and commercial litigation matters, with a focus on real estate and intellectual property disputes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial litigation, business law, and dispute resolution. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and provide advice to clients on complex commercial litigation matters
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts
- Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
- Manage all phases of litigation, including case assessment, discovery, and trial preparation
- Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to effectively handle cases
- Provide guidance and support to junior attorneys and legal staff
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.)
- Active license to practice in the sate of North Carolina
- 3+ years of experience in commercial litigation, with a strong focus on business, real estate, and intellectual property matters
- Large Law firm experience is a plus!
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Thorough understanding of state and federal court procedures
- Experience with alternative dispute resolution methods
- Strong work ethic and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
