Position Overview: The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for providing support to the Construction Superintendent on all aspects of construction activity. This individual will ensure that construction projects are completed on-time, within budget, and of the highest possible quality. The Assistant Superintendent will have a thorough knowledge of building codes and regulations, and will be familiar with materials, tools, and other construction-related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Aid in the coordination of all construction activities on site
Carry out inspections of construction sites to ensure safety compliance and adherence to established regulations
Keep accurate records of all construction materials, tools, and equipment
Assist in the preparation and negotiation of contracts and purchase orders
Ensure that all construction activities are performed according to safety guidelines and regulations
Monitor construction progress and report any problems or delays to the Construction Superintendent
Ensure that all construction materials and equipment are properly maintained and stored
Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED
2+ years of direct construction experience
Thorough knowledge of building codes and regulations
Familiarity with materials, tools, and other construction-related equipment
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift up to 50lbs
